Open Role: Print/Textiles Designer
Please apply here.
In Print We Trust is one of the UK’s fastest-growing fashion brands, best known for our statement tees worn by Charli D’Amelio, Madeline Argy, and the Beckhams. We’re now expanding beyond spot-placement prints into new categories—think repeating patterns for pyjamas, plus eye-catching prints for dresses, accessories, bikinis, hoodies, and more.
Position Overview
We’re looking for an energetic, passionate, and resourceful Print/Textiles Designer who can bring innovative ideas to various product categories. This role goes beyond traditional spot prints on T-shirts. You’ll be at the forefront of creating repeating patterns and other advanced print techniques that align with our brand identity and speak to our trend-focused audience.
You don’t need years of industry experience—if you have the skill, vision, and drive to experiment across multiple product lines, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Print & Pattern Development: Create original repeating patterns, allover prints, and placement graphics suited to diverse products like pyjamas, dresses, accessories, bikinis, and hoodies.
- Develop mood boards that capture the aesthetic direction and upcoming trends for each project.
- Product & Fabric Exploration: Curate the right fabrics for each product category—considering factors like print compatibility, sustainability, and cost.
- Collaboration with Technical Teams: Work closely with pattern makers and sample teams to nail the placement, scale, and colour accuracy of your prints. Provide clear instructions for strike-offs and lab dips, ensuring the final result meets your creative vision.
- Brand Consistency: Maintain a cohesive design language that’s distinctly “In Print We Trust” across all product categories. Keep labelling, colour palettes, and finishing details consistent and on-brand.
- Trend & Market Research: Monitor emerging print trends, street style, and consumer preferences to keep designs fresh and relevant. Translate global fashion insights into new print concepts that resonate with our target audience.
- Innovation & Growth: Proactively propose new print ideas, techniques, and product categories to help us stay ahead of the market. Embrace feedback from internal teams, using it to refine and evolve designs rapidly.
What We Offer
- Creative Freedom & Resources: We provide the tools, software, and materials you need to bring your textile designs to life.
- Fast-Growing Environment: Be part of a company known for its bold social media presence, celebrity endorsements, and ambitious expansion plans.
- Collaborative Culture: Join a team that values open-mindedness, innovation, and boundary-pushing ideas.
- Flexible Work: You can work remotely, in our studio, or a mix of both—whatever fuels your creativity best.
Requirements
- Passion for Prints & Textiles: A genuine enthusiasm for colour, pattern-making, and experimenting across product categories.
- Trend Awareness: Ability to spot and interpret print trends, from street style to runway, and apply them innovatively.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to articulate design visions, give feedback, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability & Work Ethic: Comfortable meeting tight deadlines, juggling multiple projects, and pivoting when necessary.
- Enthusiasm for Collaboration: Open to sharing ideas, taking feedback, and iterating designs quickly.
Nice to Have
- London-Based: Proximity for studio visits, quick sample approvals, or team brainstorms.
- Experience with Tech Packs: Familiarity with creating or working on tech packs for prints.
- Prior Sourcing Experience: Experience collaborating with printers and factories for large-scale production.
